The admission into BUET includes several important steps. As an applicant, you must know about the steps. If you know the steps properly then it would be easy for you to complete the admission.

The admission steps-

• Online Application: It is the first step of admission. You must apply online and pay the application fee. 
• Primary Short Eligible List: Among all the candidates, a short eligible list will be made. This list shows the name of the applicants who are selected for the primary admission test. 
• Primary Admission Test: One candidate must pass this test to participate in the final admission test. The schedule has been fixed for the admission test. 
• Final Eligible List: This is the list of the candidates who are selected for the final admission test. The candidates who have passed the primary admission test will be listed here. 
• Final Admission Test: This is the most important part of the admission system. One candidate must pass on this test.
• Admission Result: The final merit list and the waiting list will be published by the BUET authority.

Requirements for the BUET Admission

There are two units for the BUET Admission- KA Unit and KHA Unit. One student can apply any of these units while submitting the online application. But before that, you need to make sure that you are eligible for the admission. 

Take a look at the requirements-

• The candidate must have minimum GPA 4.00 out of 5.00 in both SSC and HSC exam.
• The student has to pass SSC exam in 2021 or 2022.
• The Student has to pass the HSC exam in 2024.
• The summation of grading point of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Bangla and English is 22.5 minimum.

Admission Test Info

The schedule for the primary admission test and the final admission test has been fixed. For your kind information, KA Unit and KHA Unit admision test will be held on the same date. 

Primary admission test schedule-

Note: The 2024 HSC exam syllabus will be followed for the admission test question paper.

Online application through ugadmission.buet.ac.bd

The online application is the first step of the admission process. If you are going to take part in the admission test then you must apply through the official website- ugadmission.buet.ac.bd. 

You need to upload your photo and signature while submitting the application. So you need to prepare the photo and sign before you start the application. 

To apply-

• Go to the BUET Admission portal- ugadmission.buet.ac.bd
• There, click for ‘New Appliation’. Then a new interface will be opened in front of you.
• Enter your SSC Roll, HSC Roll and your date of birth for enter. 
• After then, you need to enter all of your personal and academic information. 
• Select your unit name. Be careful while you select your unit. 
• Then upload your photo and sign. 
• Preview the application and submit.

You need to pay the primary application fee for the application. You can use bkash, rocket and Nagad for the payment.

BUET Short Eligible List

Bangladesh University of Science and Technology authority publishes a short eligible list. This list is made among all the applicants who have applied for the admission. 

Well the applicants who have been selected in the BUET Short List can take part in the primary admission test. The Buet eligible list 2024 has been published in a PDF file. So you need to download the PDF file to check if you are selected or not.

Final Eligible List

After the primary eligible list, the the final list of the admission test candidates has been published. Today BUET authority has published the Final admission test candidate list through ugadmission.buet.ac.bd website. 

For your information, the candidates who are selected in the list will be allowed in the admission test. If you are not selected in this final list then you will not be allowed to participate in the test. The selected candidates will download the admit card from the ugadmission.buet.ac.bd portal.

BUET Admission Result

BUET Admission Result 2024 has been published. The BUET Result is published through the official admission website ugadmission.buet.ac.bd. 

The BUET Admission Test Result 2024 is published by a PDF file. You have to download the result PDF to know your own result. Your name will be included in the list then you are successfully passed in the admission test. 

The BUET Admission merit list is made on the basis of the final admission test. Congratulations to the students who have been selected in the merit list. You will complete the final admission within the deadline.
